A turned bowl made from solid American cherry, with a series of rounded beads running around the exterior. The repeated texture catches light and shadow around the bowl while leaving the inside smooth and simple.
At about five inches across, it works well as a small serving bowl, catchall, or simply as an object on a table or shelf. The broad base and low profile give it a substantial stance despite its relatively compact size.
Cherry starts warm and relatively light, then deepens considerably with age and exposure to sunlight. The color will continue to develop as the bowl is used and handled.
Each bowl is turned individually from solid cherry. Wood is a natural material, so grain, color, and figure will vary from piece to piece. The bowl you receive will be made to the same general dimensions and form shown here, but its particular grain and character will be its own.
