A set of three nesting tables made from solid cherry, designed to work together or wander around the room as needed.
Each table starts with a circle and is shaped into a different simple geometry: a pentagon for the large table, a square for the middle, and a triangle for the small. Four tapered legs pass directly through each top, leaving the exposed joinery as part of the surface.
The three tables tuck together into a compact stack, then separate into side tables, drink tables, plant stands, or whatever small surface happens to be useful nearby.
Cherry starts warm and relatively light, then deepens considerably with age and exposure to sunlight. These tables are meant to change with use, picking up color and character rather than staying pristine.
Made by hand in Des Moines, Iowa from solid American cherry.
