A small turned bowl made from alternating pieces of solid cherry and walnut. The contrasting woods create a shifting pattern around the bowl, with the grain and color changing as the form curves from the base to the rim.
Turned and finished by hand, it’s sized for the little things that otherwise end up scattered around a room: jewelry, keys, coins, desk odds and ends, or simply as a small object on a shelf or table.
Cherry will deepen and warm with age, while the walnut provides a darker contrast. Because the pattern comes from the wood itself, no two bowls made this way will be exactly alike.
